Hyundai Construction secures its first overseas project, a roadway in Thailand.

Chung Ju-yung establishes Hyundai Motor Company.

Chung Ju-yung launches Hyundai Heavy Industries as a shipbuilding business.

Hyundai enters the semiconductor industry, establishing Hyundai Electronics.

Hyundai introduces an IBM-compatible personal computer called the Blue Chip PC.

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas (HCEA) is formed in Chicago.
2000
HCEA introduces Hyundai Forklifts to the North American market.
2011
HCEA moves headquarters to Atlanta

HCEA moves their headquarters out of Chicago and establishes offices in Atlanta.
