A Fourth Quarter Message From Lewis Byers

Dear Valued Dealer,

It is hard to believe that we’ve already reached the fourth quarter of 2022. In our business, our industry, and the global economy, it has been a year of challenges and opportunities. For Hyundai it has been a year of responding to challenges, working to improve the quality of our service and support, and – despite the challenges – growth.

Recently, you received 3rd quarter performance letters. I am so proud of that fact that – with a substantial part of the year remaining – many dealers have already achieved their 2022 goals. Even more impressive, more than 20% of our dealers have outpaced their annual goals. This is a tribute to their hard work and, I believe, the quality, innovation, and value of our equipment.

Of course, this year inevitably leads to the next and a new set of goals. As 2023 Dealer Business plans were recently sent to you, I cannot state strongly enough how important these plans and performance letters are in helping develop manufacturing plans to assure that your business has the product it needs and that your business and ours can grow together.

As you well know in your own business, planning is essential. So is market intelligence. I am pleased to inform you that our application to the Industrial Truck Association has been submitted. We anticipate being on-board and contributing data as early as January 2023. In return, the data we will receive will help us develop a growth plan in every market segment.

Finally, I can report to you that that our monumental parts department project is nearing completion. We are finishing up transferring our parts from the old system to the new. Remember, everything we’re doing is designed to help you keep customers satisfied, meet your needs, and drive your aftermarket sales. Thank you for your patience.
