Hyundai Material Handling Honors Leavitt Machinery

During A Special Trip to Korea.

Recently, Paul Bilson, our Director of Dealer Development, National Accounts and Marketing, and Tim Haley, a Hyundai District Sales Manager, were joined by a team from Leavitt Machinery on a unique trip to Korea to visit the new HD Hyundai Xitesolution headquarters and our modern manufacturing facilities in Ulsan and Gunsan. Leavitt Machinery has been a Hyundai dealer of distinction since 2006.

Representing Leavitt was its CEO, Tom Leavitt, and its corporate treasurer, Chris Jo. During the team’s visit they were given a grand tour of our new headquarters, a modern high rise in Pangyo, a suburb of Seoul. As part of the tour, they met with the HD Hyundai Xitesolution executive management team, including Mr. Kwanghee Hur, Senior Executive VP, Mr. Byungsu Oh, VP Sales, and Mr. Jaehoon Lee, VP R&D.

One of the highlights of the trip was the presentation of a Hyundai 2023 Plaque of Appreciation given to Mr. Leavitt by Mr. Hur for the enduring relationship the two companies have formed. Check out this video of Mr. Leavitt thanking Hyundai for the award.

In a further sign of his appreciation for all the hard work of the Hyundai team, Mr. Leavitt presented 150 Hyundai employees with Starbucks gift cards. Our headquarters features a Starbucks on the first floor. In response, Hyundai employees made a video expressing their thanks to Mr. Leavitt’s generosity. Check it out.

After the visit to the manufacturing facilities, where the Leavitt team got to see some of their units being prepped for production and shipping, they returned to Seoul where they were able to tour the famous Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Korean War Memorial Museum.
